Malang City has a rich and unique history as a leading creative media arts city in Indonesia. The current city development always reflects the paradigm of inclusive sustainability. Nurturing the best talent and creating ecosystem excellence in the midst of technological advances while maintaining cultural and historical roots. One of them is how Badut temple, the oldest temple in East Java dating back to the eighth century, inspires the design and spirit of Malang Creative Center (MCC) development today.

Malang city aims to be a productive and competitive city based on the principles of the creative economy, sustainability, and integration, as well as fostering balanced and sustainable economic growth. This mission also view strengthening cooperation and network with global creative cities in order to foster long-term synergy and collaboration at its heartbeat.
